Tutored subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and Sociology, CARS

I’m about to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with Honors in Neuroscience. I took the MCAT after only three and a half months of focused studying, and I scored a 99th percentile score on my first attempt. I have over five years of meaningful teaching experience via instructing in group and individual settings through other tutoring platforms, local after-school tutoring companies, and as a Teaching Assistant for Biology, Biochemistry, and Neuroscience classes at the University of Pittsburgh. I specialize in adapting lesson plans to the student’s lifestyle, while also driving a steady pace to keep up with the rigor. I teach all subjects of the MCAT with an in-depth focus while highlighting the high-impact topics. More importantly, I will teach you strategy, so you will be best equipped to handle various types of MCAT questions and be able to avoid the commonly made mistakes. Studying for the MCAT requires planning and knowledge on the resources out there, and I would be more than happy to help you plan your MCAT journey. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy biking, Netflix, and the company of my friends. I wish you the best for your MCAT studying!

I am a second year MD/PhD student at the University of Florida. I graduated with honors in chemistry in 2017 and minored in biology. I have four years of formal teaching experience as a TA in chemistry (general and organic), and I have tutored many students individually since high school. I also have three years of experience doing research and am a published author in physiology, and am a PhD candidate in viral molecular genetics.

I teach for Examkrackers because EK works! I credit their method and teaching style for my MCAT success. When I was studying for the MCAT, I used their books to guide me through the specific high-yield topics commonly seen on the test, and their pacing kept me on track. Their test-taking strategies have stayed with me through medical school. With EK methods in my toolbox, I address both the knowledge and the strategy of the MCAT in my teaching.

Hi, I'm Dan! I'm an incoming medical student with B.S. degrees in Biology and Nutrition with extensive undergraduate tutoring/teaching experience, particularly in the subjects of Biology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Nutrition. After working as a medical assistant in NYC, I've been working as an MCAT instructor for Examkrackers and a private tutor for the MCAT, organic chemistry, etc. I love eating all kinds of food from all kinds of cuisines (Japanese is my favorite) and enjoy staying in shape with calisthenics and powerlifting.

What differentiates my tutoring services? I pride myself in going above and beyond in identifying non-academic factors that can influence long-term success with my clients, such as individual study habits, mindset, discipline, and long-term goals. I am a big advocate in keeping things candid, realistic, and professional. Finally, I believe that establishing a strong foundation of trust and rapport leads to the best academic results; I take the time to talk to my clients (and parents, if needed) to understand the context of each tutoring session and the client's professional goals.
